In today’s society of excessive mechanized production,
cold industrial products and sterile, rigid lines
have rendered abundance meaningless.

That’s why we insist
the most important parts must be handcrafted.
Although every stage leaves tiny traces of manual work,
these represent the irreplaceable spirit of craftsmanship.

  • Artisan hand-cast micro metalwork

  • Artisan hand-painted detailing

  • Artisan hand-polished and finished cases

To preserve the warmth of handmade work,
each piece carries subtle differences in brushstrokes—
this is the true value of handcrafted products.

It was a unique era that only Taiwan experienced:
European, Chinese, and Japanese styles of dress and culture
coexisted on this land at the same time.
It’s a special part of Taiwan’s past—one that has simply been forgotten.

Shinhui Watchmaking in Tainan was founded in 1955
and officially established its factory in 1983
after years in the watch industry.

Currently, the factory’s CNC craftsman is 72 years old,
and the polishing artisan is 68.
Their craftsmanship, refined over decades,
still brims with passion as they take on each challenge.

We have always believed
that the value of things comes from intangible cultural accumulation,
and that its legacy and stories
add a lasting depth and charm.

Behind everything is the dedication of dozens of professionals
and the collective effort of more than five factories.

These watch cases were developed over a decade ago
at the old Tainan factory. Though time passed
and the designs were considered out of fashion and forgotten,
in our eyes, they remain irreplaceable treasures.

Cultural accumulation and heritage
have always been core values of bardswhisper.

That’s why we invested multiple times the usual cost,
combining 3D technology with the most traditional handmade processes,
to redesign these watches to high-end specifications.

These retro cases, once forgotten in the factory,
have been reborn through our wholehearted dedication.

Bardswhisper has spent years researching micro-casting techniques,
pushing the limits of craftsmanship through the challenge of old watch cases.

In the world of micro-manufacturing,
a smaller watch case means a greater technical challenge.

This time, we broke traditional thinking in watchmaking,
redesigning the internal movement’s fixing structure
to create more room for detailed expression.
