Concept & Inspiration

Over 700 years ago, Dante’s Divine Comedy reshaped art and literature. Scholar Jean-Pierre Barricelli observed in Dante Studies (1996) that artists across every medium have responded passionately to Dante—perhaps even more so than to the Bible. In the poem, Dante, led by the Roman poet Virgil, journeys through Hell and Purgatory; then, guided by Beatrice, he ascends to Paradise and finds redemption.

In 2022, Bard’s Whisper re-examined medieval sources and engaged over 20 Taiwanese artisans—including scholars, illustrators, sculptors, engineers, watchmakers, 3D modelers, animators, and blockchain experts—to ensure deep cultural authenticity. Over seven months, our team refined each sculptural line. Using advanced 3D modeling and micro-casting, veteran modeler Jia Longxi’s four-layer segmentation technique makes a mere 3 mm dial feel luxuriously three-dimensional.
