Craftsmanship

For this “Falling Blossom Under Umbrella” pure-silver edition, we applied an even more challenging micro-casting technique, creating profound three-dimensional relief within a minute space, a testament to Taiwan master sculptor Teacher Jia Long-xi’s meticulous planning.

Following BW’s years of development in micro-crafting, each S925 silver relief is cast, then undergoes multiple finishing steps by hand. Every movement holder is individually refined, then pre-assembled per European haute-horlogerie standards to ensure a perfect fit before dial and hands assembly.

Production Process

  1. Crystal: Sapphire glass

  2. Case: Hand-polished stainless steel by Tainan artisans using traditional finishing techniques

  3. Hands: Custom Swiss-patented super-luminous

  4. Relief: Pure-silver micro-cast sculpture, hand-filed and polished, then individually hand-painted for the dial and relief

  5. Strap: Stainless-steel, hand-finished for optimal lustre

  6. Assembly & QC: Professional artisans assemble, fine-tune, and perform three water-resistance tests

Each timepiece requires over 20 days and 150+ hours of artisan labor from raw production through final assembly—an uncommon level of sculptural craftsmanship in modern watchmaking.

Hand-Polished Case Note

This traditional watchmaking art uses manual polishing to achieve a mirror-shine finish, with select areas left brushed for contrast. Though brilliant at first, fine surface marks naturally develop over time, reflecting the watch’s lived history. Should the case or strap wear, you may return it for repolishing or part replacement—wear it confidently and create your own story.
